Availability:       Monday-Friday shifts available between 1:00pm to 10:00pm

Saturday shifts available between 5:00am to 1:00pm (Closed on Sundays)

 

POSITION INTRODUCTION

The Rover position is designed for the employee to have a complete understanding of various warehouse duties and responsibilities. The Rover will be able to help departments where needed most. In addition, this position gives the employee scheduling flexibility between the hours of 1:00pm and 10:00pm

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The representative duties of this job are described below. Related details and additional miscellaneous duties may not be described, but may be required in the performance of this job.

  • Material Handling: Use tablets to locate and pull orders to deliver raw materials through the production process from sawing to shipping. This includes manual movement, both solo and assisting co-workers, as well as the use of forklifts, cranes, and hand trucks.
  • General Warehouse: Use tablets to locate raw materials, then pick and pull the orders. Unload and stage inbound materials with overhead crane. Load finished goods on LTL freight trucks.
  • Packaging: Package, weigh, and prepare finished goods for shipment in accordance with defined procedures.
  • Skid Building: Cut and assemble custom skids, pallets, and boxes using wood band saw, nail gun, tape, vinyl banding, and other tools as required.
  • Inventory Cycle Count: Check\inspect inventory for correct count, location, labels, etc.
  • Technology: Utilize computers and tablets to track orders, control inventory, relay time sensitive information throughout shop departments, keep workstations continually supplied with material, and minimize production delays.
  • Instruments: Use Vernier calipers, rulers and scales to maintain specifications and tolerances.

QUALIFICATIONS

To complete this job successfully an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily, both as an individual and as a team member.

  • Must be 18 years of age.
  • Ability to report to work as required.
  • Adapt to training and then operate a variety of material handling equipment (Ex. overhead cranes, forklifts, wood band saws, etc.).
  • Forklift experience is preferred, experience and certification is a plus.
  • Ability to perform basic math functions.
  • Basic computer skills are required.
  • Ability to read and use measuring equipment such as tape measures micrometers, and Vernier calipers.
  • The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 70 pounds.
  • The employee frequently is required to work with their hands and be able to be on their feet for long periods of time.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud.  Safety glasses and steel-toed shoes are required.  Hearing protection and gloves are optional.
