Howard Precision Metals has a “small family” feel. Working for such a devoted, close-knit company brings much more to the table than your typical large corporation. Everyone knows your name and it gives you a sense of warmth. We genuinely like to spend time with each other here and that is reflected in how much we celebrate. The whole company gathers every quarter for a Town Hall meeting. It is in these meetings that we celebrate our successes, anniversaries, and birthdays. We also introduce new marketing strategies, discuss our recent successes and opportunities and, of course, recognize our new hires. And, everyone knows that celebrations call for cake! We truly enjoy celebrating birthdays, new babies, upcoming nuptials, graduations, retirements and so much more. Did you know that there is a National Holiday designated for Hot Dogs or Cheesecake? You didn’t? Well, our Sales Manager does!! She enjoys treating others with homemade treats and gifts that celebrate these types of holidays. You name it; she has thrown a “party” for it. Cheesecake Day, Root Beer Float Day, Pie Day, Taco Day, just to name a few. All the celebrations of the year do not compare to the biggest one: Christmas. Our entire company attends a party on the last day before our break. All our employees get to enjoy a hot meal together and capture some of the warmth of the holiday spirit. It is the perfect way to start our two paid days off for Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. The time off at the holidays is a wonderful way that the Howard’s thank us for our hard work. At 60 days after becoming a Howard employee your benefits begin. Many of our staff started off in entry level positions and have now made it to leadership positions. This is because the Howard’s believe in promoting from within the organization and investing in employees. Our leaders encourage employees, understand that mistakes are ways of learning, and always trust us to do our best. Because of our smaller staff size, we cross train employees from different departments to fill in and offer help as needed. This type of cooperation is what helps us be a successful team. I work with seasoned professionals who know how to take the time to mentor. I am often given new and challenging opportunities and this helps me grow. Our company also encourages employees to attend classes that will give them an opportunity to broaden their knowledge of not only the metal industry but areas such as Human Resources or Business Management. As a matter of fact, a few Howard Precision Metal employees are currently taking advantage of that, which I find to be extraordinary. These opportunities will allow this company to grow with the times and solidify the future successes of our company. Our President, Mark Howard, has been dedicated to Howard Precision Metals since a young age. Like many other employees, he started out working on the shipping and receiving dock. With his Father’s (Donald Howard) and Uncle’s (Bob Howard) mentor-ships over the years, Mark has become an amazing leader, whom this entire company trusts and admires. As our current President, he is responsible for providing leadership for the entire company. He does by partnering the management team to establish long range goals, strategies, new plans and policies. He is planning for the future and, in doing so, he takes the time to consider outcomes of all of our staff. Mark openly communicates and is receptive to new ideas and all of our opinions. It is wonderful to work for a place where my feedback matters. I am proud to be one of the 80+ employees here at Howard Precision Metals.
