The alloys we offer for many aircraft applications include 2024, 7075, and 7050. In addition, Mic-6 and Alca-5 Cast Tool and Jig plate are used in creating fixtures and measuring gauges for the aerospace industry.
We carry 2024-T351 aluminum plate, which is natural aged, heat treated, cold-worked, and stretched to produce stress relief. It is available thicknesses ranging from 0.375” to 6.0”, complying with AMS 4037. This alloy is recommended for precisions aluminum parts in the aircraft industry that must have high strength and good machinability.
We carry 7075-T651 as a standard stock aluminum alloy item. The T651 temper is artificially aged, heat treated, and stress relieved through stretching. This alloy provided exceptional strength and comes in thicknesses of 0.25” to 8.0”. We specify our purchases to have the thickness tolerance on the plus side alloying for additional clean up stock.
We carry aluminum grade 7050-T7451 to a specification of AMS 4050. The T7451 temper is overaged for stabilization, heat-treated, and stretched to provide stress relief. It is commonly used in the construction of bulkheads and fuselage frames.
