Howard Precision and 7075 Aluminum

Certain companies represent the American business dream of starting small, starting from scratch, surviving times of economic hardship, and still coming out on top.

Howard Precision is an excellent example of this. It was the dream of one man, a man who carried the business through the Great Depression, to not only survive, but triumph. Through the quality of their customer service and superior product and cutting capabilities, Howard Precision maintains their family oriented, small-company feel in a large-scale industry.

From Humble Beginnings

Howard Precision is a Wisconsin-based provider of custom aluminum products cut to precise tolerances. Alva Howard started the company from humble beginnings in 1928, and today, the company is still a family business and is one of the leading suppliers of aluminum goods in the industry.

Alva Howard initially borrowed $1,500 from his mother to start the business. Through fantastic customer service with a personal touch, Howard not only managed to carry the business through the Great Depression, but also got to see success on the other side.

Howard Precision Today

When Alva’s son, Bob Howard, joined the business, they expanded and invested in aluminum applications and purchased high-end saws. Bob Howard went on to develop his own blade designs, something currently considered one of the keys to Howard Precision’s industry success.

Today, the company has several precision extrusion saws, a Behringer and Amada band saw, six precision plate saws, all designed from start to finish with the application of cutting aluminum in mind. Today, Bob Howard is known as a premier authority on all things aluminum, and Howard Precision’s uniquely-designed blades for cutting aluminum produces results few, if any, can match.

7075 Aluminum

The 7075 Aluminum alloy is at the top of the list when it comes to strength. This aluminum alloy is manufactured to meet the needs of many industrial markets.

Alloy 7075 has properties known for its aerospace applications and is used to make parts capable of enduring high-stress levels. Some of these uses include military grade rifles, aircraft structures, bicycle parts, plastic industry molds, and more.

If you are looking for a source to meet your aluminum plate and cutting needs, look no further than Howard Precision. This family company has survived due to their understanding of customer service, superior product, durability, and dependability. Their 7075 aluminum alloy is ideal for use in numerous applications and can be cut to suit any custom application. Howard Precision Metals inventories a wide variety of thicknesses in 7075 plate, produced by the premier producers in the world.
